What happened
At approximately 5:00 PM local time on July 19, 2008, a Sikorsky S-92A helicopter, registration HL9292, was attempting to land on a helipad near Gapyeong, Republic of Korea. During the landing maneuver, the aircraft collided with trees and other obstacles on the ground. The impact was followed by a post-crash fire that consumed the helicopter.
Of the 16 people on board, there were 2 serious injuries and 14 minor injuries. There were no fatalities.
