What happened
On July 31, 2008, at approximately 13:43 local time, a Eurocopter EC135 T2, operating as MEDIC-14 for OMSZ Légimento Kht, crashed near Kiskunlachaza, Hungary. The aircraft, registered HA-ECE, was performing a medical transport mission, moving a burn victim from Paks, Hungary, to Budapest. During the flight, radar contact with the helicopter was lost. The aircraft crashed approximately 2.2 kilometers directly south of Budapest while the crew was attempting an emergency landing.
The accident resulted in 2 fatalities, 1 serious injury, and 1 minor injury.
