Incident Overview
On January 10, 2009, at approximately 1130 UTC, a Piper PA-28-200R aircraft, bearing Brazilian registration PT-NEE, experienced an engine failure after departing from General Leite De Castro Airport in Rio Verde, Goiás, Brazil. The aircraft was operated by a private individual.
Forced Landing
Following the loss of engine power, the pilot executed a forced landing on a road. The aircraft sustained minor damage as a result of the landing.
Occupants and Injuries
The pilot and one passenger were on board. Both occupants were not injured.
