What happened
On February 10, 2009, at 0930 UTC, a Robinson R44 helicopter, registered as HA-MIX, was performing aerial work near Budaors, Hungary. The aircraft, operated by BHS Hungary, departed from Budaors Airport. During the flight, the helicopter experienced a loss of engine power and subsequently impacted the water of the Danube river.
The accident resulted in 1 fatality for the pilot and 2 minor injuries for the passengers. At the time of the accident, visual meteorological conditions were in effect.
