What happened
On June 25, 2009, at 22:30 local time, a Robinson R22 helicopter, registered as VH-HOX, collided with the ground near Paraburdoo, Western Australia. The aircraft was performing a non-commercial cross-country flight, having departed from Newman, Western Australia, with the intention of traveling to Uaroo Station.
At the time of the accident, visual meteorological conditions were in effect. The impact with the ground resulted in the destruction of the aircraft. The pilot, who was the sole occupant, sustained 1 fatal injury.
