What happened
On July 15, 2009, a Kitfox III aircraft, registration N4276M, was conducting a series of touch-and-go landings. During one of these maneuvers, the pilot touched down with one wing lower than the other. Following the touchdown, the aircraft veered toward the edge of the runway. In an effort to perform a go-around, the pilot applied power; however, the aircraft departed the runway surface and struck the adjacent terrain before it could become airborne. There were no injuries resulting from the accident.
