What happened
On August 5, 2009, at 10:00 EDT, an Enstrom F28C helicopter, registration C-GVQQ, crashed near the Mont-Laurier Airport (CSD4) in Mont-Laurier, Quebec. The flight, which originated from CSD4, struck wires and terrain during the accident.
At the time of the event, weather conditions were characterized by visual meteorological conditions (VMC) with a visibility of 15 statute miles and winds from 300 degrees at 7 knots. The impact resulted in 2 fatal injuries for the pilot and passenger.
