What happened

On August 9, 2009, a Cessna 172P, registration HS-BAE, was conducting a route training flight from Nakhon Ratchasima Airport, Thailand, to Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok. The aircraft was carrying two student pilots.

At 03:36 UTC, the pilot notified air traffic control that the aircraft's Attitude Director Indicator (ADI) and Course Deviation Indicator (CDМУ) were inoperative. Shortly thereafter, at 03:38 UTC, the aircraft was lost from radar contact while at an altitude of 2,300 feet. The aircraft subsequently collided with mountainous terrain within Khaoyai National Park. There were no injuries reported.

On November 11, 2012, the wreckage was located at coordinates 14°31'47.93"N 101°10'43.32"E.
