Accident Details

On October 1, 2009, at approximately 2205 UTC, a Eurocopter AS350-B3 helicopter, registered in Peru as OB-1911-P and operated by Coyotair S.A.C., was destroyed following an impact with terrain near Cusco, Peru. The helicopter struck a hillside at an elevation of about 11,700 feet, at coordinates 12°33.785' South, 072°01.681' West. The aircraft was destroyed by impact forces and a subsequent post-crash fire. The pilot and two passengers on board were killed.
