What happened
On October 26, 2009, at 13:00 UTC, a Robinson R22B helicopter, registered I-ANSO, was involved in an accident near Verona, Italy. The aircraft was operating as a personal flight departing from Boscomantico Airport (LIPN). During the flight, the helicopter impacted the water in Lake Garda, resulting in 2 fatal injuries to the pilot and a passenger. The flight was operating under visual meteorological conditions (VMC) at the time of the impact. The aircraft sustained substantial damage.
