Incident Overview
On January 4, 2010, at approximately 1300 Palau standard time, a Cessna 182P equipped with amphibian floats executed a hard landing on runway 09 at Palau International Airport, Republic of Palau. The aircraft, registered as T8A182P, was owned and operated by ABA Sky, Inc.
Occupant and Damage Status
The commercial pilot and the three passengers on board were not injured. However, the airplane sustained substantial damage. Following the hard landing, the aircraft came to a complete stop approximately 200 feet down the runway from the point of initial contact.
