Lion Mentari Boeing 737-900 Runway Excursion at Minangkabau Airport

Incident Overview On January 19, 2010, a Lion Mentari Airline Boeing 737-900 with registration PK-LFM experienced a runway excursion while landing at Minangkabau Airport in Padang, West Sumatera, Indonesia. ## Damage and Occupants The airplane sustained substantial damage during the incident. No injuries were reported among the 8 crew members or 201 passengers on board. ## Investigation The National Transportation Safety Committee of Indonesia is conducting the investigation. The NTSB has assigned an Accredited Representative to assist under ICAO Annex 13, as the United States is the country of manufacture and design of the airplane.
