Accident Details
On February 4, 2010, at approximately 1940 Atlantic Standard Time, a Robinson R44II helicopter, registration N7535F, struck the side of Mount Jina Mocha in the city of Restauracion, Dominican Republic. The accident occurred at night while the helicopter was en route from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to Cibao International Airport in Santiago, Dominican Republic. The pilot and passenger were killed. The helicopter was destroyed by impact forces and a subsequent post-impact fire.
Investigation
The accident investigation is under the control and jurisdiction of the Government of the Dominican Republic, specifically the Direccion General de Aeronautica Civil (DGAC).
