What happened
On May 17, 2010, at approximately 0840 local time, an Antonov An-2cap aircraft, registration YA-PIS, crashed into mountains in the Shakar Darah District of Afghanistan. The aircraft, operated by Pamir Airways as flight 112, was traveling from Konduz Airport to Kabul International Airport when the impact occurred.
The accident resulted in 44 fatalities, including all 39 passengers and 5 members of the flight crew.
