What happened
On May 20, 2010, at approximately 0415 UTC, a Bell 206 L-3 helicopter, registration VH-OSU, was engaged in crop spraying operations near Latrobe Valley Aerodrome in Traralgon, Australia. During the operation, the aircraft struck a power line and subsequently collided with the terrain.
The accident resulted in 1 fatality. The pilot, who was the sole occupant of the aircraft, was killed. The helicopter was destroyed in the crash. The departure and destination airports for the flight were not identified, and meteorological conditions at the time of the accident were not reported.
