Incident Overview
On June 29, 2010, at approximately 1910 UTC, a Beech 300 aircraft, Brazilian registration PP-EPD, operated by the Government of the State of Amazonas, Brazil, experienced a blown tire during the landing roll following a forced landing. The event occurred at Jundiai Airport (SBJD) in Jundiai, Brazil, shortly after takeoff.
Sequence of Events
The flight originated from Jundiai Airport about five minutes prior to the incident. Shortly after takeoff, both engines lost power. The pilot decided to return to the departure airport. After touchdown, during the landing roll, the left brake locked, resulting in a blown main landing gear tire.
Aircraft and Damage
The airplane sustained minor damage. There were no injuries to the pilot, co-pilot, or the five passengers on board.
