What happened
On July 18, 2010, at approximately 1500 UTC, an Embraer EMB-711C, registration PT-NBE, crashed into a hill near Santo Antonio Do Leverger, Mato Grosso, Brazil. The aircraft was being operated by a private owner for a personal flight.
The flight departed from Aerodromo Nacional de Aviacao, Goias, Brazil, at an undetermined time. While the aircraft was in the cruise phase of flight, it collided with terrain. At the time of the accident, the weather conditions were instrument meteorological conditions (IMC) with a visibility of 6 statute miles and winds from 160 degrees at 7 knots. No flight plan had been filed for the flight. The accident resulted in 2 fatalities, involving the pilot and one passenger.
