What happened
On July 29, 2010, a Cessna T210M, registration N701PS, was performing a landing roll in Shell Lake, Wisconsin. While the aircraft was traveling at approximately 30 knots, a deer emerged from a low-lying area on the right side of the runway and struck the airplane. The impact caused substantial damage to the right horizontal stabilizer. There were no injuries resulting from the event.
At the time of the accident, weather conditions were Visual Meteorological Conditions (VMC) with a visibility of 10 statute miles and winds from 300 degrees at 3 knots.
