What happened
On August 25, 2010, at approximately 1330 UTC, a Piper PA-34-200T, registration HK4429, was operating a flight from Bucaramaga-Palo Nergo Airport (SKBG) in Bucaramaga, Colombia. The aircraft, operated by Agropecuaria–Aliar S.A., was last reported crossing the Yopal (EYP) VOR at an altitude of 11,500 feet mean sea level.
Following the loss of contact, debris from the aircraft was located in a field at Finca Ventanas, located in the Municipio Aguazul, Departamento Casanare, Colombia. The wreckage was found scattered across a 1 kilometer radius. The accident resulted in 6 fatal injuries, involving the pilot and five passengers.
