Accident Overview
On August 31, 2010, about 0630 UTC, a Papua New Guinea (PNG) registered Cessna 550, registration PA-TAA, was substantially damaged following an overrun and post-crash fire after landing at Misima Airport (MIS), Bugoiya, Papua New Guinea. The aircraft had departed Port Moresby Airport at about 0500 UTC and was destined for MIS.
Occupants and Injuries
The airline transport pilot and three passengers were killed, and the copilot sustained minor injuries.
Aircraft Damage
The aircraft, registration PA-TAA, sustained substantial damage in the accident. A post-crash fire occurred after the overrun.
