What happened
On September 10, 2010, at approximately 1445 UTC, a Robinson R44 helicopter, registered as PT-YON, crashed into mountainous terrain near Itanhaem, State of Sao Paulo, Brazil. The aircraft, operated by AM Transportes Ltda ME, was performing a flight from Peruibe (SSMW) to the city of Sao Paulo (SBMT) when the accident occurred.
The crash resulted in 2 fatalities, involving the pilot and one passenger.
