Incident Overview
On November 12, 2010, at 1000 universal coordinated time, a Cirrus Design Corp SR22 (registration N918SR) experienced a total loss of engine power while in cruise flight. The aircraft subsequently executed a forced landing to a field in Luzzara, Italy, resulting in substantial damage. The pilot was not injured.

The flight departed from Bresso Airport (LIMB) in Milan, Italy, and was destined for Rimini Airport (LIPR) in Rimini, Italy. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed for the duration of the flight.
