What happened
On November 30, 2010, American Airlines flight AAL802, a Boeing 737-800 bearing registration N901AN, was completing its landing roll at Montreal Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (CYUL) in Montreal, Canada. During the landing roll, the aircraft departed the left side of runway 24R and came to a stop in the grass approximately 6,600 feet down the runway.
The flight was a scheduled service originating from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (KDFW) in Dallas, Texas. Following the excursion, Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) responded to the scene. Passengers were deplaned from the aircraft using an airstair. There were no injuries among the 105 passengers and 6 crew members on board.
