What happened
On December 9, 2010, at approximately 21:35 UTC, a Hawker Beechcraft 95-B55, registered as PT-LEU, was performing a flight from Goiabeiras Airport (SBVT) in Vitória, Espírito Santo, Brazil, to Brasilia International Airport – President Juseclino Kubitschek (SBBR) in Brasília-DF, Brazil.
During the flight, the aircraft experienced an engine failure. Following the loss of power, the airplane impacted the terrain in Bom Jesus do Galho City, Minas Gerais, Brazil. A fire occurring after the impact destroyed the aircraft.
The accident resulted in 4 fatal injuries and 1 serious injury.
