Accident
On February 4, 2011, at approximately 1449 UTC, a Hawker Beechcraft HS-850XP, registration OD-SKY, crashed during the initial takeoff climb at Sulaimaniyah International Airport, Iraq. The aircraft was owned by Club Aviation S.A.L and operated by Sky Lounge services S.A.L. The flight was destined for Istanbul, Turkey. All three crew members and four passengers sustained fatal injuries. The aircraft was destroyed and a post-crash fire ensued.
Investigation
The Iraq Civil Aviation Authority is conducting the investigation. A U.S. Accredited Representative has been appointed, representing the state of design and manufacture of the airplane and engines. All inquiries regarding this investigation should be directed to the Iraq Civil Aviation Authority.
