Accident Details
At 1630 universal coordinated time on March 31, 2011, a Robinson R44 Raven II helicopter, registration D-HBLT, collided with an aircraft storage hangar at Straubing-Wallmühle Airport in Straubing, Germany. The impact occurred at the airport facilities.
Injuries and Damage
The pilot and passenger sustained minor injuries as a result of the accident. The helicopter was destroyed by a post-accident fire.
Investigation
The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Government of Germany. The Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accidents Investigation (BFU) is responsible for the inquiry. Further information may be obtained from the BFU.
