What happened
On May 5, 2011, at 16:20 UTC, a Boeing 747-300, operating as Saudi Arabian Airlines Corp with registration HZ-AIR, was preparing for departure at Allama Iqbal International Airport (LHE) in Lahore, Pakistan.
As the flight crew began advancing the throttles to taxi for takeoff, the aircraft's No. 4 engine, which is a Rolls-Royce RB211-524, experienced an uncommanded increase to full power. In response to the event, the crew moved the fuel switch for the No. 4 engine to the cut-off position to shut down the engine. The aircraft subsequently returned to the ramp with no injuries and no further incidents reported.
