What happened

On May 14, 2011, at approximately 0112 UTC, an Air Cuenca Boeing 737-500, registration HC-CJB, was performing a landing on runway 23 at Mariscal Lamar Airport (CUE) in Cuenca, Ecuador. During the landing roll, the aircraft experienced a loss of directional control. The airplane veered off the runway near the departure end and crossed the adjacent taxiway/turnout. The aircraft came to a stop with its left main gear positioned off the taxiway. There were no injuries to any persons, and the aircraft sustained minor damage.
