Accident Overview
During the landing flare and touchdown phase, two deer ran onto the runway. The airplane struck one of the deer, resulting in the separation of the nose landing gear. Following the separation, the nose of the airplane settled onto the runway surface. The aircraft then skidded for an additional 500 feet before coming to a complete stop.
