Accident Overview
On June 24, 2011, at approximately 0806 eastern daylight time, a Canadian-registered Robinson R44 Raven II helicopter, registration C-FSKV, operated by Capital Helicopter, sustained substantial damage when it crashed during final approach to land near Lac Deborah, Schefferville, Quebec. The aircraft had departed from Schefferville, Quebec.
Injuries and Damage
The pilot sustained serious injuries, and the passenger was fatally injured. The helicopter was substantially damaged in the accident.
