What happened

On July 11, 2011, at approximately 10:14 local time, a Sikorsky S76C++, registered F-H JCS, crashed into the sea near Kanbauk, Burma. The aircraft, operated by HeliUnion Co. Ltd. under Burma Civil Aviation Regulations, had recently departed from Kanbauk on a flight destined for an offshore oil platform. The helicopter entered the water approximately 10 meters from the Yetagon platform.

The accident resulted in 3 fatal injuries, including one flight crew member and two passengers. Additionally, two passengers sustained serious injuries, while one flight crew member and three passengers suffered minor or no injuries. The aircraft sustained substantial damage.
