Accident Details
On August 18, 2011, at 1008 universal coordinated time, an Aerospatiale AS 355F2 helicopter, registered VH-NTV, operated by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, struck the ground shortly after departing from a location near Marree, Australia. The aircraft sustained substantial damage and was subsequently engulfed in a post-impact fire.
Occupants and Injuries
The helicopter was carrying a pilot and two passengers. All three occupants suffered fatal injuries as a consequence of the accident.
