Incident Overview
According to the pilot's report, the accident occurred during a takeoff maneuver initiated from a sandbar. While in the initial climb phase, the aircraft encountered an unexpected downdraft that affected its trajectory.
Sequence of Events
The aerodynamic disturbance caused the left landing gear to strike the riverbank. The impact was severe enough to shear the gear assembly off the airframe. Following this structural failure, the left wing made contact with the ground. The aircraft subsequently slid to a stop on its fuselage, indicating a loss of controlled flight attitude during the final moments of the incident.
Damage Assessment
The investigation noted substantial damage to multiple critical sections of the aircraft. Specifically, the left wing sustained significant impact damage. Additionally, the fuselage and tail section were also reported to have received substantial damage as a result of the sliding motion on the ground.
