On September 29, 2011, an accident occurred in Aceh, Indonesia, involving an Aviocar CASA C212, registration PK-TLF, operated by Nusantara Buana Air. The accident resulted in 18 fatalities.
What happened
Following the event, the National Transportation Safety Committee of Indonesia (KNKT) initiated an investigation. The NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the KNKT investigation, acting as the State of Manufacturer and Design of the engines under ICAO Annex 13 provisions.
