What happened
On December 29, 2011, at approximately 1415 UTC, a Piper PA28-161, registered as HK3934, crashed into terrain near Andres Bello, Tachira, Venezuela. The aircraft was operating an instructional flight under visual flight rules (VFR) from Arauca, Colombia (SKUC), with a planned destination of Cucuta, Colombia (SKCC).
The aircraft was in the cruise phase of flight when the impact occurred. The accident resulted in 2 fatal injuries for the two pilots on board.
