What happened

On January 18, 2012, at approximately 1715 UTC, a Bell 206 L-4 helicopter, registered as YV1985, crashed into a mountain near Montaña Auyantepui within the Canaima National Park in Bolívar State, Venezuela.

The flight was operating as a sightseeing mission, departing from Aeródromo de Luepa (SVLP) with an intended destination of Uonquen Airport (SVUQ).
