What happened
On February 4, 2012, at 15:55 local time, a Robinson R44 II, registered as VH-COK, collided with terrain in the vicinity of Nowra Aerodrome, New South Wales, Australia. The helicopter was being operated by Bankstown Helicopters Pty Ltd under the provisions of the Australian Civil Aviation Regulations. The impact with the terrain resulted in the destruction of the aircraft and 2 fatal injuries to the occupants.
