What happened
On February 25, 2012, at approximately 11:30 CST, a Cessna T210N, registration N6YY, crashed near Torreon International Airport (MMTC) in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico. The flight was operating as a private flight, traveling from J. Agustin Castro Airport (MM16) in Lerdo, Durango, to its destination at MMTC.
During the flight, the aircraft struck high tension wires and impacted the terrain. The impact resulted in a post-impact fire that destroyed the airplane. The pilot, who was the sole occupant, sustained 1 fatal injury.
