What happened
On March 22, 2012, at approximately 0615 UTC, a Bell 407 helicopter, bearing registration RA-01931, was performing an approach to a private landing area near Podnovye, Russia. During this maneuver, the aircraft struck electrical utility wires and subsequently impacted the Volga River. The flight had departed from a private landing area near Bunkovo, Russia, at an undetermined time.
The accident resulted in 1 fatality for the pilot.
