What happened
On May 8, 2012, a Cessna 207A, registration N207YH, was involved in a landing accident at Grangeville, Idaho. During the landing phase, the aircraft initially touched down on all three wheels but subsequently bounced back into the air. Following this bounce, the aircraft stalled and impacted the runway, causing a second bounce.
The aircraft then landed on its nosewheel, which caused a broken wheel and a flat tire. The aircraft slid off the left side of the runway, at which point the left wing contacted the terrain and sustained substantial damage. There were no injuries resulting from the accident. Weather conditions at the time were VMC with a visibility of 10 statute miles and winds at 340 degrees at 03 knots.
