On May 14, 2012, an accident occurred involving a Dornier 228, registration 9N-AIG, in Jomson, Nepal. There were no fatalities and no injuries reported in connection with the event.
What happened
Following the occurrence of the accident, the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) notified the NTSB. Because the engines' state of manufacture and design is under U.S. jurisdiction, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to support the NCAA investigation in accordance with ICAO Annex 13.
