Accident Overview
On May 16, 2012, at approximately 1850 UTC, a Robinson R44 helicopter registered as OH-CKB was substantially damaged during an emergency landing in a forested area. The accident occurred while the helicopter was conducting an external load tree trimming operation near Juuka, Finland.

The helicopter was owned by Procopter Oy and operated by HeliPro Oy. The pilot, who was the sole person on board, reported that the helicopter descended and did not respond to controls. The pilot was uninjured.
