What happened
On May 16, 2012, at approximately 1850 UTC, a Robinson R4:: (registration OH-HZH) was performing an external load tree trimming operation near Juuka, Finland. The aircraft, operated by HeliPro Oy, was engaged in its mission when the pilot experienced a loss of control response. According to the pilot, the helicopter descended and failed to respond to the flight controls.
The pilot performed an emergency landing in a forested area. The aircraft sustained substantial damage during the impact. The pilot, who was the sole occupant on board, was not injured.
