What happened
On June 4, 2012, at 1200 UTC, a Cessna 182Q, registration VH-CWQ, was reported missing. The aircraft was later located near Coonabarabran, Australia. The aircraft, which was operated by a private individual, collided with the terrain. The impact forces and a post-accident fire caused substantial damage to the airplane. The pilot, who was the sole occupant of the aircraft, sustained 1 fatal injury.
