Incident Overview
On June 9, 2012, at approximately 1000 UTC, a Piper PA-23-250 aircraft, registration EC-GCF, sustained minor damage when its left main landing gear collapsed during landing at Igualada Aerodrome in Spain. The aircraft, which is registered in Spain, had departed from Sabadell earlier.
Occupants and Injuries
The flight was crewed by a pilot and carried five passengers. None of the six occupants were injured in the incident.
Damage
The aircraft sustained minor damage as a result of the landing gear collapse.
Jurisdiction
The investigation into the incident is under the jurisdiction of the Government of Spain. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) designated a U.S. Accredited Representative under the provisions of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Annex 13, as the United States is the state of manufacture of the aircraft and its engine.
