What happened
On June 29, 2012, at 0705 UTC, a Hughes 369D helicopter, registered as D-HLUX, was performing an aerial application flight near Lieser, Germany. During the flight, the aircraft struck a powerline and subsequently impacted the terrain. The pilot, who was the only person on board, sustained 1 fatal injury.
At the time of the accident, the weather conditions were visual meteorological conditions (VMC) with a visibility of 6 statute miles and winds from 150 degrees at 6 knots.
