On July 2, 2012, an incident occurred involving an Emirates Boeing 777-300, registration A6-EGQ, in Urumqi, China. The Civil Aviation Authority of China (CAAC) notified the NTSB of the event.
Under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the CAAC investigation in its capacity as the State of Manufacturer and Design of the aircraft. There were no injuries reported in relation to this incident.
