On August 27, 2012, an accident involving a Boeing 767, registration N642UA, took place in London, United Kingdom. The United States National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to support the United Kingdom Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) in its investigation. This cooperation is being conducted under ICAO Annex 13 provisions, as the United States serves as the State of Manufacturer and Design, as well as the State of Registration and the Operator.
