Incident Summary
A pilot reported a loss of directional control during landing, resulting in a ground loop and damage to the aircraft's wing. The pilot stated that while landing, the airplane began to divert to the right. He applied full left rudder input, but the airplane did not respond. Subsequently, he applied full left brake, which caused an overcorrection. The airplane then ground looped to the left.
Damage
During the ground loop, the right lower wing contacted the runway, damaging the lower right wing spar. No other damage was reported.
Pilot Statement
