Sriwijaya Air Flight SJ182 Runway Overrun at Supadio Airport

Incident Overview and Aircraft Details On October 19, 2012, Sriwijaya Air flight SJ182, a Boeing 737-4Q8 with registration PK-CKN (manufacture serial number 26281, built in 1992), sustained damage after overrunning the runway during landing at Supadio Airport in Pontianak, Indonesia. The aircraft reportedly suffered a nose undercarriage collapse. The flight was a passenger service originating from Jakarta. ## Weather Conditions and Casualties The accident occurred in daylight at 1645 local time under heavy rain, with thunderstorm activity in the vicinity of the airport. All 160 passengers and crew on board were uninjured. ## Investigation The incident is being investigated by the KNKT of Indonesia. In accordance with ICAO Annex 13, the United States has appointed an accredited representative as the State of Manufacture and Design of the airplane.
