Accident Details
On February 2, 2013, at approximately 2115 local time (0015 UTC on February 3), a Robinson R44 helicopter, Paraguayan registration ZP-HAH, operated by Helitactica S.A., was destroyed upon impact with sparsely populated terrain roughly 27 nautical miles west-northwest of Puerto Antequera, Paraguay. Night lighting conditions prevailed at the time, with rain showers reported in the vicinity. The private pilot and two passengers, one of whom was a presidential candidate, sustained fatal injuries.
